01/27/2014 - Tudor Bingo Center Project Update: January 2014 (Newsletter)
Significant progress has been made on the new Tudor Bingo Center facility in the last month. The project remains on schedule with substantial completion of construction anticipated in April.
Interior framing is nearly complete. In the kitchen, the freezer was installed, final underground plumbing was completed and the kitchen slab was poured. Also, sprinkler piping and flexible heads were installed throughout the facility. Sheetrock is currently being installed in the areas where rough-in is complete.
The project team worked closely with the Tudor Bingo Center management team to refine the electrical wiring plans for security and sound systems. They also revised heated walkway plans, adding a fully heated drop-off drive under the canopy. This will reduce winter maintenance costs and damage from snow plows in the drop-off area.
Nanuaq Development and other project team members continue community outreach. The team continues to attend the Campbell Park Community Council meetings to provide milestone updates on the project.
